Fishing Report – May 10–17, 2025

This week brought calm seas, hot sun, and a wide-open fishery. Conditions were textbook: light winds around 7–9 mph, excellent visibility, and water temperatures creeping toward the mid-80s.

At Playa Blanca, Marc chased permit across the sand flats for three days and finally landed one after a textbook cast and a heart-racing 10-minute fight. Casa Blanca’s guests saw excellent action with bonefish, especially during midday tides, and Susan jumped their first tarpon of the season — an unforgettable moment for any angler.

Evenings were filled with stories, fresh ceviche, and plenty of celebratory toasts. The vibe this week was pure joy — the kind that happens when everything lines up just right.
