Mid-March brought a blend of sunny skies and steady east winds averaging 10–12 mph. With tides swinging mid-morning and plenty of fish on the move, Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca delivered another week full of action and connection.
At Playa Blanca, Sally and Bill came with one goal in mind — permit — and stayed focused through every tide change. Their patience paid off on Thursday with a clean hook-up on a cruising fish, after three long days of close calls. Barret and James fished together for the first time, and quickly found a rhythm, trading bonefish hookups and sharing tips over lunch on the skiff.
The tarpon lagoon also showed promise. Michael and Robert jumped several baby tarpon in the calm hours just after sunrise. It wasn’t about numbers this week — it was about progression. Guests left with better casts, sharper eyes, and new friendships forged under the sun.

A trip that teaches you something
Some fish are caught. Others are just seen and remembered. Either way, the time spent out here will stay with you long after the lines are reeled in.
