The last week of April brought an exciting close to a remarkable month at Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca. Light winds averaging 8–10 mph, steady temperatures near 82°F, and glassy morning tides created a window of perfect conditions — and guests took full advantage of it.
Tarpon sightings continued to increase in Ascension Bay. Quoco jumped three in a single session, while Lee finally brought one to hand after several close encounters earlier in the week. Over at Playa Blanca, the bonefish flats remained steady, with multiple guests landing their personal bests in just a few hours of fishing. A few permits were spotted, and landed.
What stood out most wasn’t just the fishing — it was the buzz of the group. Every evening, guests gathered on the porch with drinks in hand, reliving the day’s close calls, wild runs, and quiet triumphs. There was laughter, storytelling, and a shared appreciation for this wild, remote corner of the world.
