This week marked a turning point in the season, as both Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca began to feel the early stirrings of tarpon migration. Warm air, glassy mornings, and afternoon breezes averaging 9–11 mph created near-perfect conditions for exploration and action across the system.
At Casa Blanca, the talk of the week was movement — not just in the tides, but in the air. Phil and Will reported seeing dozens of rolling tarpons in Ascension Bay, with several good shots and one unforgettable hookup. While the silver kings stole the spotlight, the bonefish flats remained productive and reliable throughout the week.
At Playa Blanca, Robert and Charlotte focused on the backcountry edges, where the water was alive with life. A few permits teased the skiff early in the week, and by midweek, the snook and baby tarpon were hunting aggressively in the mangroves. Each day brought new opportunities, and guests made the most of them.
There was an undeniable energy in the air — the feeling that something bigger is just beginning.
