Highlights of the Year

Special Events:
This year, we had the honor of hosting Phd Aaron Adams and Phd Addiel Perez from the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust for the first evaluations of a large-scale project aimed at monitoring and mapping the fisheries of Punta Pajaros. Their visit marks the beginning of an initiative that will provide invaluable data on fish populations and ecosystem health, reinforcing our commitment to conservation and sustainable fishing.

Another milestone was the visit of Osmar Arseo from Belize, who conducted an intensive one-week training program for all the guides of Punta Pajaros. This training focused on advanced guiding techniques, conservation practices, and enhancing the overall guest experience, ensuring that our team remains at the forefront of fly fishing expertise.
Conservation and Sustainability
At Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca Fly Fishing Lodges, responsible fishing is a priority. This year, we have reinforced our commitment to conservation through:
Installation of a New Photovoltaic System: We are implementing a cutting-edge solar energy system with 750 solar panels, significantly reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and minimizing our environmental impact.
Catch and Release Practices: 100% of our clients follow strict release protocols to ensure species sustainability provided by the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust.
Support for Environmental Research: We actively support CINDAQ, a group of cave-diving explorers conducting research on the aquifer system within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. Additionally, we provide logistical support to the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust, facilitating their fieldwork and scientific studies in the region.
